The perfectionism trap
I have always been fascinated by what creates #change and what prevents it; why some people #succeed despite all the odds and others spend their lives #struggling regardless of their resources.
I believe we are all the navigators of our own lives. Difficulties and #challenges are non-optional, it happens to everyone, however, it's our capacity to use them as a catalyst for #change and #growth which creates the level of fulfilment in our lives.
It is easy to get caught up in the #perfectionism trap…… ‘As soon as I have achieved xxx then I will be #happy,’ most of us rationally know, when we live like this, our happiness will continue to be a step away.
Having been blessed (and cursed) with an insatiable desire for a life on my own terms, the status quo was never an option. However, thankfully, I am an advocate for imperfect action, getting it wrong, and learning quickly. I have learnt #failure is to be #celebrated. A ‘no,’ is always a ‘yes’ to the discovery of something new if we allow our focus to make it so.

We all have #greatness inside of us, for many of us, it is disguised and wrapped in self-doubt and insecurity, keeping us small and playing it safe whilst we enviously watch the change-makers of the world.
Have you ever considered though, that no one else in the world is made the same way as you……….No one else has exactly your unique set of skills, talents and gifts.
Perhaps there might be a reason for this. A purpose fit uniquely for you. As Einstein says:
‘Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.’
So how much do you feel you are fulfilling your #potential right now? Are doubt and fear holding you back? What would you need to overcome this? And what will happen if you don’t?
If you are interested in the #extraordinary, I would love to connect. I have a gift of razor-sharp #intuition and an uncanny ability to see the blind spots that hold people back. My work suits individuals and organisations who believe in the power of thinking big and acting the same way. People who are interested in a #legacy beyond themselves. We all have doubts and insecurities it is not about their absolution, it is the decision to not let them be the drivers of your destiny.
